Hurting Curtis Members:
Lizzie Hughes - Vocals
Rainey Floreani - Vocals
Barry "Mops" Moore - Drums
Michael Shanahan - Bass
Tim Seymour-Smith - Guitar/Vocals
Hurting Curtis formed in 2013, when vocalist Lizzie Hughes was asked to perform to several hundred guests at a winery function. Calling on a few friends to put something together, Hurting Curtis found its roots on a cold day in Woodside, SA, performing to an enthusiastic crowd of middle and upper aged folk who actually knew (and enjoyed) the music that was played.
Sensing an opportunity to find others who appreciate music of earlier origin blended with hits of the modern era, Hurting Curtis has since grown to become one of Adelaide's leading cover bands - no frills, no pretence, just honest musical fun and good times.
The simplicity of the line up - drum/bass/acoustic guitar and vocals - strips songs back to their rawest elements,
leaving crowds no option but to groove with the chunky rhythms and slick harmonies.
Looking for a band to entertain an audience aged 40+ ? Look no further.....
